Santosh K Dary is a member of the Punjabi Women’s Writers’ Group and has read her stories at the Wolverhampton and Ironbridge Literature Festivals. She finds inspiration from the simplicity and thought-provoking images used by Emily Dickinson and Bulleh Shah, the greatest mystic poet of the Punjab. She recently read his poems in Punjabi at her local library as part of ‘Elliptical Readings’ for the British Art Show 9, Wolverhampton.
Santosh has contributed to Ripening Cherries published by Offa’s Press. The Arts Foundry published her childhood experience in the Living Memory Book and some poems were included in Gitanjali and Beyond # 5. Her prize winning poem ‘Bulbulhamptan Tuesday Market’ was featured in the Black Country magazine Bostin News, winter edition 2021/22.
Santosh took early retirement from social work with Wolverhampton City Council to spend time with her family.
Santosh was one of seven poets featured in New Voices, available from the Offa’s Press shop.
