Kenton Samuels

Kenton Samuels
Wolverhampton born and raised, Kenton Samuels spent several years working as an administrator in a busy office in central Japan, before returning to his home city where he continued to nurture a fascination with the quirks of language.
Virtually all of his spare time is spent writing, whether that’s poetry, short stories, or the occasional novel, and much of his work seeks to marry the humour and melancholy hidden beneath the surface of the everyday. He can be found performing poetry at venues around the Midlands and has recently had pieces published in The Cannon’s Mouth magazine and the anthology Bedtime Stories: Tales for Children, Wolverhampton Libraries.
In 2022 Kenton was winner of the WV Prize in the Wolverhampton Literature Festival poetry competition.
Kenton was one of seven poets featured in New Voices, available from the Offa’s Press shop.
