Sunday 30 November : ‘Seeing the Trees and the Woods’

To celebrate National Tree Week, Simon and Kuli will be joined by a selection of ‘tree poets’ at Waterstones, 13-15 Victoria Street, Wolverhampton, WV1 3NP, 2-3pm.

Sunday 30 November : A Game of Three Halves

Priyanka Joshi will feature in ‘A Game of Three Halves’ – Roundabout Fringe Wolverhampton’ alongside Dave Pitt and Morgan Birch. Emma Purshouse will be MCing this evening of top-notch spoken word. 7-9.30pm upstairs at the Lych Gate Tavern, 44 Queen Square, Wolverhampton, WV1 1TX.

There will be 9 open mic slots available of a strict 5 minutes each. Sign up on the door, names will be drawn from a hat to see who gets to share their work.

Saturday 8 November : Emma Purshouse and Steve Pottinger at K Teas Café

Join Emma Purshouse and Steve Pottinger for an afternoon of top-notch spoken word 3-4pm at K Teas Café, 4 St Georges Parade, Wolverhampton, WV2 1BA.

Emma will be reading from her new collection, and Steve will be performing work from his recently re-printed collection. This is a free event. There will be books for sale should you be on the lookout for Christmas presents.

No need to book, just turn up. K Teas is an independent cafe with a great atmosphere and an amazing range of tea and cakes!

‘Seeing the Trees and the Woods’ reading at Oswestry Library, Arthur St, Oswestry, Shropshire, SY11 1JN, featuring Simon & Kuli plus local ‘tree poets’, 2-3pm.

Saturday 15 November : ‘Country Voices’

‘Country Voices’ special ‘Seeing the Trees’ event with Simon & Kuli and Cherry Doyle plus local ‘tree’ poets’ at the White Hart, 10, Wharfage, Ironbridge, Telford, TF8 7AW, 2.30-4pm.

Thursday 20 November : Emma Purshouse at the Gratitude Café

Emma Purshouse will be the guest poet at an open mic event at the Gratitude Café, 10 Duke Street, Wellington, TF1 1BJ, from 7pm. A pay-as-you-feel event hosted by Nick Pearson. Refreshments available. Open mic poets can sign up on the night for a 4-minute slot. Emma will have books for sale, should you wish to purchase Christmas presents.

Friday 21 November : Winning Winter Warmers

John Woodall is performing in Winning Winter Warmers at Ledbury Poetry House, Ledbury, Herefordshire, HR8 2AA, 7.30-9.30pm. This is part of the Winter Words Festival. Tickets £5.
