‘Country Voices’ with Hermione Sandall, Simon Fletcher, Helen Kay & David Bingham who’ll be reading from his new Offa’s Press pamphlet, The Whole Tangerine, at the ‘All Nations, 20, Coalport Road, Madeley, Telford, TF7 5DP, 2.30-4pm.
Tickets are £5 on the door. This will be an outside event in the marquee in the garden.
Thursday August 20 : Gratitude Poetry Open Mic Extra
Gratitude Poetry Open Mic Extra in Wellington at 7pm, featuring a guest reading from Morgan Birch. The venue is Gratitude Cafe, Duke Street, Wellington, TF1 1BJ, and poets can sign up for 4-minute slots on the night or by emailing Nick at nk.pearson@btinternet.com.
It’s a pay-as-you-feel event with a range of fine refreshments available.
Saturday August 22 : ‘Virtual Voices’
‘Virtual Voices’ at 5-6:30pm hosted by Simon Fletcher and Kuli Kohli. The programme features a double act with Ros Woolner and Roger Noons, followed by Irish poet Cathy Carson, and then David Bingham’s book launch for ‘The Whole Tangerine’, along with a great selection of open mic participants.

Bridgnorth Writers Group’s annual poetry event, Live Poets’ Society, at St Marys Church, East Castle St, Bridgnorth, WV16 4AF, 7.30-9.30pm. Headliners Kate Innes and Liz Lefroy will be supported by David Bingham, Ruth Broome, Suzie Pearson, Lizzie Prudence and Colin Wells.

Saturday July 4 : Emma Purshouse MCing and performing as part of Junction Festival
Emma Purshouse will be MCing and performing as part of Junction Festival in Chapel Ash, Wolverhampton. A 2-hour session of spoken work will feature some of the best of local performers. Already confirmed: Morgan Birch, Saffron Hill, and Jane James. There will be plenty of open mic opportunity (strict 5 minutes). The festival happens from 5 July to 7 July.
The spoken word event will take place in the Chindit Inn, 113 Merridale Rd, Wolverhampton, WV3 9SE between 2pm and 4pm on Saturday 4 July.
