Cherry Doyle
Cherry Doyle was born in Shrewsbury and now lives on Cannock Chase AONB in Staffordshire.
Cherry holds a BA in Creative Writing from the Open University and an MFA in Poetry from the Manchester Writing School (part of Manchester Metropolitan University). She is a member of Border Poets and came second in the 2022 Pre-Raphaelite Society poetry competition.
In 2020-2021, Cherry ran the Arts Council England-funded In The Sticks online poetry project with Simon Fletcher, resulting in an anthology of poetry about the West Midlands countryside (available from the Offa’s Press shop).
Cherry’s pamphlet September and collection The Taste of Rain, both inspired by the landscapes of Cannock Chase, are available from the Offa’s Press shop.
